Old Corkscrew Golf ClubESTERO, Florida-- Jack Nicklaus has toured the site for Old Corkscrew Golf Club, Southwest Florida’s only stand-alone Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course. The 275-acre site is located approximately seven miles east of I-75 on the south side of Corkscew Road in Estero.

“This unique Jack Nicklaus Signature course is designed to enhance the Audubon-inspired natural environment, and it will be a challenging, enjoyable course for players of all levels,” said Franz Rosinus, managing partner.

The course will be developed to mesh precisely with the Corkscrew area’s natural assets – mature oak, pine, cypress trees and a natural flow way through the center of the property. As a stand-alone course, Old Corkscrew is not affiliated with a real estate development and will be one of the few upscale area centers with public access.

Old Corkscrew Golf ClubThe Clubhouse design features traditional architecture with peaked rooftops, a wraparound porch and relaxed, luxurious furnishings. Clubhouse amenities will include a Club Grille, sunken bar with a panoramic view of the golf course, fireplace, business center with conferencing and internet facilities, meeting rooms, satellite television and more. A fully stocked pro shop will provide golf fashion and the latest equipment.

“We still have a limited number of ownership shares available,” said Mark Iwinski, director of golf operations. “Pre-qualified companies and individuals are invited to purchase shares which entitle them to two designees per ownership. The designees pay no fees, dues or special assessments except for a nominal cart fee charge.”

Old Corkscrew Golf Club“We are excited to establish Southwest Florida’s newest world-class golfing center, setting a new standard for the golf experience in our area,” said Rosinus.

The estimated completion date is Fall 2006. For more information on Old Corkscrew Golf Club or details on qualifying for ownership, call Mark Iwinski at 239-949-0990 or log on to the website http://www.oldcorkscrew.com.
