The course, designed by renowned architect Arthur Hills, is his only “Signature” Championship course in the region. The undulating course features expansive fairways and challenging greens, as well as sizeable bodies of water complemented by abundant native landscapes. Director of Golf Operations Greg Wetzel and his staff pride themselves on the immaculate condition of the course.

Greg likes to think of “everyday as a tournament day”. Fairways are over-seeded in winter to promote perfect conditions. Accordingly, his team always ensures that hazards are appropriately identified, cups are painted white, hole locations are balanced, and green speed and conditions are excellent.

All golf carts depart the clubhouse with the latest in GPS navigation. Your outing may lead you directly onto the meticulously maintained golf course, or you may decide to stop first at the expansive practice facilities, which are among the largest in Florida.

Here you will have an opportunity to practice chipping, putting, bunker-play and tee shots. There is also a golf studio, run by internationally known teacher Mike Calbot to assist you in bringing your game up to par.

A round of golf wouldn’t be complete without a stop at the spectacular Tuscan inspired Golf Clubhouse that was completed in 2005. Whether you visit the Clubhouse for lunch, dinner or Happy Hour by the exotic stone fireplace, you will be extremely pleased with the first-class service and cuisine that you and your guests will experience. The locker room facilities are also state-of-the-art, and will leave you feeling pampered, with polished shoes and an engraved brass tag for your golf bag.

Miromar Lakes, while only a few years old, is already earning a well-deserved national reputation, and has earned a nomination for a national ranking in 2006. This past year it hosted the Senior Championships, which features the nation’s best senior amateur golfers, and it also hosted the American Junior Golf Association which features the best junior amateurs. The Celebrity Players’ tour has enjoyed the course, as well as numerous other charitable organizations.
